The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride
Widely considered Disney's best sequel for good reason! The animation looks great for its budget. Lackluster songs, but an excellent voice cast. Standouts are Jason Marsden's Kovu and Suzanne Pleshette as Zira, one of Disney's scariest villains.

Claire snuggled into bed as her mother tucked her in. The dim glow of the nightlight and the warmth of the blankets cocooned around her gently lulled her to sleep. Her eyes drooped but instantly snapped open again as she heard a soft humming sound. She blinked, and in the shadows, she saw a flying insect at the window. The Spinster Seamstress
Diiiiiiiing! Lois’s alarm clock blared. Blinking in the dark, she felt for the clock on the nightstand and switched it off. The small bedroom was bathed in dim light as she switched on the lamp. She rose, showered, dressed, and fixed a simple breakfast of eggs, toast, and coffee. Her gray tabby cat, Earl, rubbed against her legs as she turned on the gas stove to cook her eggs. He looked up, greeting her with a meow, and she laughed. Good old Earl! He was the only man Lois let into her life!

Five Stages of Grief
I. Denial When her father died, she denied. She denied him her tears and affection because she wanted to appear strong. She wanted to prove that she would be alright without him, that she wouldn’t become the fragile, weepy stereotype of a grieving daughter - because she knew how much he hated stereotypes! Instead of kind words, she would pick fights with him. She thought she was doing the right thing. If he was angry at her, at least he wasn’t feeling sorry for himself. But he didn’t understand. He died thinking she no longer loved him.

The Last Bright Spot in My Life
Blink, blink. The cursor flashes as I stare at a blank screen of an essay I don’t want to write. Here I am, only hours away from a looming deadline, and panic sets in with every minute that ticks by. Still the words come about as easily as pulling teeth. Even that’s a generous comparison! When you have a tooth pulled, the pain lasts for a day or two, and then you don’t have to worry about feeling that kind of pain again.
