First Disaster
Was it really too much to ask for a simple evening? A pleasant night spent with pleasant company. To enjoy a drink and some scintillating conversation? To not have everything I touch to end in disaster? Apparently so. Okay universe, I got the message. No good times for me. I didn't even understand how this one had happened. I guess that Merlot was hitting me more strongly than I’d thought. Not just me though, as I wasn’t here alone. I wasn’t the only one seeing this. So was the random guy standing next to me with his mouth agape.

Corrupted Wishes
Turning Eighteen is a huge milestone for everybody, I know that. Officially an adult, so many doors have been opened to you that had previously been closed. You feel as if you are on top of the world at the same time as having to carry it’s burdens. I know that it’s the same for everybody. At least I thought it was the same. I thought I knew what to expect when it came to be my turn. I thought I was prepared. I’d believed myself ready. How wrong I was. It turns out that turning eighteen is not the same experience for everyone. Don’t get me wrong, receiving a large sum of money and a black little notebook from an unknown benefactor is all well and good, and then learning your destiny, or future career path which is pretty much a guaranteed job, is great. Well, it seems great. Those adult burdens you were worried about? Just brush them off your shoulder, you’re all set for life. Everything is lined up for you. Unless that is, if you are me.

Identifying with Scorpion
The Beginning Born 24th October, apparently while Babybird’s You’re Gorgeous played on the radio, the stars welcomed me into the world with a scorpion. The Scorpius constellation hung in the sky, chasing the hunter Orion. Growing up with the name of an evil witch and under the sky of a murdering insect, sometimes makes you wonder. It’s only recently that I learned that the Scorpion was actually the good guy in the Orion mythology, and really did the world a service killing that awful man. Don’t believe me? Look it up. Orion was a truly horrible human being and Gaia/Mother Earth sent the Scorpion to kill the Hunter to protect the world.

Twin Trials
Once upon a time, in a far away land, there lived a beautiful princess who fell in love with a pirate. And a handsome pirate, who fell in love with a princess. Together they ran away, settling in a little cottage and making a small family. The princess gave birth to twins. A boy, Celdrake, and a girl, Aleena. The children grew in grace and beauty each day. Until tragedy struck on the children's eighth birthday. The family was discovered by both pirates and royals. The royal guard threatened to kill her husband if the princess did not return with them to court. And the pirates threatened to kill his wife if the former pirate captain refused to accompany them back to sea. Witnessing their parents sorrow, the brave little children tried to fight and defend their parents. The young boy running to aid his mother, and the little girl to her fathers. Admiring the children's courage, the royals scooped up Celdrake, and the pirates scooped up Aleena. The happy little family were no longer.
