Barcelona Chair - Looks at the Types of Chair For Versatility
The Barcelona chair is an extremely popular and elegant chair originally designed by Mies Van der Rhoe and Lilly Reich, for the German pavilion at the International Exhibition of 29th June, 1929, in Barcelona, Catalonia. It was used by a number of artists and writers and later by a variety of political leaders, such as the German President, 1932 election campaign of Hitler. Its success and fame led to its selection as a design for the Barcelona chair in the Futurist exhibition of the same year, which was organised by the Art and Design School in Barcelona. There are several models of this chair available from reproductions to the original Barcelona Chair.
