A Song Of Vocal Tales
Introduction Almost every piece I publish on Vocal has a piece of music to go with it. I used to have a Facebook page called "For Everything In My Life There Is A Song" and very often when I read stories, a song or piece of music will come to mind.

Rose Gold Princess
This villanelle came from a suggestion by my Muse about the colour Rose Gold and gave me a chance to use the word "Acquiesce" in a poem, which I believe is the first time I have used it in any writing. It is the title of a favourite Oasis song of mine which I used to play with Spoon.

Serpent Garden Waters
Introduction There are eight water features in The Serpent Garden in the Alnwick Garden, but there is nothing on their site that documents them. Also, each one has a mirrored description plate which is almost impossible to photograph. They are all described in the blog post below, but I thought I would try and describe them in two quatrains for an effective short tour.

Back In The Poison Garden. Content Warning.
