A Conversation Between The AI Robots At Vocal. Top Story - June 2024.
Introduction This is just an imaginary humorous interlude at Vocal. Two of my last three publications have been poems, one requested, and one of them is a BEAT piece about a poem, so my Demon is shouting at me, telling me how lazy I am for writing another poem, especially as it is for a Vocal Challenge.

Notes On "To Althea From Prison"
Introduction Apologies for the spelling mistake in the subheading Many years ago I bought the album "Nine" by Fairport Convention. I still love the album today and it is home to many great songs. "To Althea, From Prison" I found particularly beautiful taking the words of the poet Richard Lovelace adapted and sung by the sadly missed Dave Swarbrick.

I Don't Want To Write A Poem
Introduction I always want to write and I feel that if I don't write then something is missing, but sometimes I know I could create a poem or micro fiction but my Devil tells me I am just being lazy and not putting any effort into creating something worthwhile. Today is one of those days.

The Writer Is Me I am a writer. I have never won any awards, or been nominated for any, but I am very successful. I often wonder would I trade my success for an award, and recognition for a Pulitzer or Booker prize, and then think no. I would rather be a successful writer, than an award-winning one living from paycheck to paycheck. This means that I have to write, and these days I find that very easy.
