Beware Remote Scam Ahead
Many would love the opportunity to ditch their 9 to 5 job and be able to work remotely. Many companies are researching if a return to the office is necessary and remote work may be the norm in the future. Sadly, just as rapidly as legitimate remote jobs appear, scams are taking advantage of the increasing appeal of remote work. These scams come in many different forms. They can come from an appealing email or even your best friend from high school.

I'm Gonna Need A Drink
Working in customer service is hard. You have to bite your tongue till it bleeds, and then keep quiet when it hurts. People think they can treat you like trash instead of human beings. Some of the worst come from the happy looking individuals. They deceive you with a pretty smile and bright demeanor. However, they are hiding weapons behind their back. The worst comes when we get hurt or frustrated and express it. Then they want to act like we are the problem. I try not to hate my life, but it is always there.

Fake It Till You Make IT
I just told someone it's all up hill from here. They are pretty words that were meant to encourage someone not to dwell on the bad, and that it is going to get better. I didn't know her, but saw the pain in her eyes. So, I told her pretty words, as I finished her transaction, so that she might not let one bad stressful situation ruin her day. Looking back on it I'm glad that I said it, but I must ask myself why can't I live up to those words? All too often I'm guilty of living a do as I say and not as I do life. I work to encourage others, but I let my own stress ruin my day.

WWJD Karen
The day started like any other... I rolled over, checked my phone and stared. The date read June first, and to most that would hold very little significance. For me this day would be full of strangers, full of strange smells, berating me for things that were out of my control. Filled with dread my limbs turned to stone, and the urge to call in filled my bones.
