Chapter 3. San Francisco looked absolutely beautiful during winter. It was early morning December 4th 2021. Heading into work all of the buildings were lit up like a Christmas tree. The white hue illuminating the city before the sun even rose. Stopping off at my new favorite coffee shop before work I ordered my usual vanilla breve. Velo Rouge Café was a small mom and pop coffee shop practically every hipster on Arguello boulevard got caught at during their 7am opening. And for a good reason too. I was waiting for my usual Leipheimer Breakfast Burrito to-go. The perfect burrito for a pregnant woman. Egg, black beans, home fries, cheese, salsa, avocado, sour cream, bacon and fresh chips with salsa. As I’m standing there waiting while starting to drink my breve I here a voice in my right ear that not only sends a chill down my spine but butterflies in the pit of my stomach swoon.

Chapter 2.New Beginnings Jackson went outside to pull up to the semi circle in front of the ER entrance as 2 nurses helped me into a wheel chair. God damn my body hurt worse than it ever felt in my life. “Thank you” I told both of them as they slowly lowered me down into the seat. “You’re very welcome Rory” I hear being said in the most seductive deep voice into my right ear, close enough to feel his breath on my neck. I look up as I see the same man who was in the ambulance and also happened to be in the OR during my surgery. He was grinning at me with his chizzled jaw and a deep dimple peering out from the left side of his perfect white teeth and plump lips. Wtf? He was a nurse? I was so confused by this man. He literally did everything in the freakin hospital. “I told you I would take care of you Rory, you were safe with me.” He lets the words fall into the minimal space in between my ear and that perfect bottom lip of his. His smirk is gone and he looks serious with his words.

Chapter 1. Forever I always thought forever seemed like such a long time. Like promising forever was the ultimate gesture. If you married someone it bound you together, a bond that truly said eternal love. But with time I soon realized nothing could truly be forever, otherwise, a person like myself who always strived and thrived on perfection, would in fact have manifested a truly perfect and forever relationship.
