A career as an architect can be lucrative and challenging. Buildings and other structures must be both useful and visually beautiful, which is the responsibility of architects. To make sure that their designs satisfy the requirements of their clients while following safety and building rules, they collaborate with clients, engineers, constructors, and other experts. Depending on the stage of the project they are working on, an architect's typical day can vary greatly. An architect may devote a significant amount of time in the beginning to meeting with clients to discuss their requirements and ideas as well as to researching zoning laws, building codes, and other rules. Students might also spend some time lining ideas for the project in sketches.
