The Story of Prophet Ibrahim and His Son Ismail
Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) is one of the greatest figures in Islam. He became a role model for all believers because of his unwavering faith and dedication to Allah. He was born in a time when a lot of people idolized wooden and stone statues. However, Ibrahim refused to worship these fictitious gods. Allah was the one and only real God to him. When Ibrahim was just a young man, he noticed that his people were worshiping idols. He was deeply disturbed by this, and he made the decision to speak out against it. He questioned the worship of idols, asking the people how they could worship things they had created with their own hands. Ibrahim was forced to leave his family and homeland after his message was rejected by his people. Ibrahim traveled far and wide, continuing to preach the message of monotheism. Along his journey, Allah sent him many signs, including the birth of his first son, Ismail (Ishmael), to his wife Hajar. Allah tested Ibrahim’s faith in many ways, but Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah never wavered.
