L.A: Where True Crime Thrives
The Zooter Riots of 1943: Some of you reading this may be thinking, what is a zoot? Well the term, 'zoot suits' refers to baggy suits that were often worn by minorities in the early 1940's, specifically Latinos. The Latino youths of California, often referred to as "pachucos," wore these flashy suits and hats were often viewed as thugs and gangsters by the wealthy white members of society. Given the war that was going on at the time, servicemen often viewed these suits as a sign of disrespect due to the shortage of materials across the nation. The wartime restrictions of clothing materials also led to bootleg tailors who viewed as conmen and unpatriotic and the form 'zoot suit' was born. Associated with all of this was a large amount of racisim towards the Latino community as a whole and led to assaults in neighborhoods before the riots finally began.

The Memoirs of a Psychopath
Chase slowly pulled the key from the ignition with a loud painful grunt. “I don’t want to be here.” He thought to himself. Deep down however, Chase knew that if he wasn’t here, his planning would never be complete. He always took mental notes of what his therapist told him to do, and he did the exact opposite of that. Early on, she had ordered him to count up to ten when he got upset and felt like he was losing control. Deliberately, he counted down from ten and waited to see how long it would take after that for him to snap. Currently, it's been three years since the last time that he counted down from ten.

A Disturbing History of Serial Killers You Probably Didn't Know About
Author's Note: Before I get started on Richard Chase, I first want to apologize for the dry content. I know that most of the articles I have written have been somewhat boring as they are very factual and linear, so I have an idea to get you guys more involved. I am going to highlight certain facts throughout the story as they are presented, and later on time them all in together to form a basic psychological profile so that you guys can comment things that I've missed or even correct me if I'm wrong. I will end this by saying thank you to all of you that have been following this series as well as my other series.

Unsolved Murders That Will Make You Think
Background Info: The "Texarkana Murders" or the "Moonlight Murders," are a series of unsolved murders and other violent crimes that took place throughout 1946 in Texarkana, Texas. Early on the killer was given the nickname "Phantom Killer" as no one had seen or even heard while committing his crimes. The Phantom Killer, in total, killed five people and injured another three within a ten week time period. The killings were so brutal, that a curfew was enforced, police patrolled the streets, and the killer remained killing. The patrols stopped three months after the last murder.

Unsolved Murders That Will Make You Think
In 1985, a hunter was walking the woods of the Bear Brook State Park where he discovered two 55 gallon drums. Inside the drums were two female bodies that were wrapped in plastic sheeting and almost completely dissolved. It was later reported that both victims had died from blunt force trauma to the head. Without any evidence to go off, the case quickly went cold as local police exhausted all leads, but none of them came up with substantial evidence.

A Disturbing History of Serial Killers You Probably Didn't Know About
Hamilton Howard "Albert" Fish was born May 19th, 1870 to a very different family. For starters, Fish's father was 43 years older than his mother. Before we go any further, I'd like to discuss some behavioral psychology talking points to keep in mind while you read this. In behavioral psychology there is a theory called "conditioning" where it is believed that when someone observes something and it becomes acceptable in their mind. So Fish observing his father have a relationship with a woman that he was 43 years superior to, became an acceptable thing in his life. The other thing that made Fish's family stick out amongst the rest, was the fact that almost every single one of them was diagnosed with some sort of mental health disorder. His mother for starters, had constant hallucinations. One of his brothers was confined to a mental hospital for going completely insane. Fish's sister was diagnosed with a mental affliction, and his uncle was diagnosed with mania.
