An Easter Sunrise
An Easter sunrise is like a new beginning, as the new season of Spring is just starting to sprout. Like the fresh bright green of new grass and budding flowers there are people who are seeing a new light as well. They are seeing themselves in the light instead of the dark and greys that they were living. What could this light be? Is it the light in the refrigerator, the porch light that you left on, or could it be light of the Lord who has been giving you hints that you seemed not to be listening to and just going about your daily business, then one day that light bulb that blinks above your head shines more brightly and some would say that you were have an epiphany of sorts for that light was the Lord giving you a sign that better things and ideas were coming your way, and all you had to do is open your heart and your eyes to see and hear him when you awoke with that sunrise.

An Easter Story
I know that Valentine's Day is tomorrow, and Easter is still a month or so away. but for some reason I am in an Easter mood. As children we saw Easter as the holiday that the Easter bunny came to our house as Santa Claus comes at Christmas but instead of wrapped presents, for he leaves us Easter baskets filled with candies and toys. We see cute bunnies and chicks pop up everywhere as well. As we grow up and become adults we begin to see and remember the real reason for Easter. This is the day that the Lord has risen after being crucified, dead and buried for three days. We are to see that he gave his life for us and our sins.
