Dark Obsessions A Kate Barnes Thriller
Who likes a mystery? Marie Sutro has written a murder mystery entitled 'Dark Obsessions' that is a Kate Barnes thriller. This mystery seems to carry on what the main character of Kate Barnes, who is a detective that needs to pull herself together from what happened on a previous case that has affected her in many ways. Kate also has some personal issues to work through and it seems that a trip to the Northwest United States could be the place where answers could be found in more ways than one.

Two Ships
'Two Ships' a novel written by James P. Redwood is a story that will take you back in time. James P. Redwood wrote a book that is historical fiction that is all about how a boy named Piotr Nowak learns about how to survive in many circumstances that are presented to him. This is the story of very early America and Canada and how crews of sorts meet and solve dilemmas. There were a few favorite parts to this story that I really enjoyed. One part was actually 'seeing' the journey from Europe on the ship for the James to me was quite visual in his writing. He also showed how Piotr lived and learned while on the ship. Also, I liked their journey into the wilderness of the New World. The sketches at the beginning of each section were just enough to make me want to keep reading to see what happens. This is a book that would make a good discussion course in writing to show how the past and present do show various relationships between all kinds of people no matter the time period. This is Book one of a series that is clearly a novel written by a show and tell author.

The Collector
Nora Roberts has written 'The Collector' that to me is a friendship and romance story about how two totally different people like Lila and Asher can find companionship and friendship in dealing with death. Lila is a house sitter who happens to see a most devastating event while on the job. Asher is an artist who is a person trying to understand what his brother was all about. Nora Roberts has written a story that will have the reader wondering right to the end. Lila and Asher will discover many aspects of living life and solving various issues no matter how serious.

Inheritance
Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors mainly for the mystery of the stories. Nora Roberts has written 'Inheritance' that is the first book of the 'Lost Bride Trilogy'. This is a story that occurs in the state of Maine on the coastline in a beautiful manor house. The main character of Sonya finds out one day in Boston that she owns a very intriguing house in Maine. Sonya has been cheated on by her fiancé with her cousin and now Sonya needs a new way to understand herself better. Sonya will have to deal with some very unusual personages when she 'claims' her inheritance and learns more about herself, her dad and all around her. This is quite the fast-paced read and this reader cannot wait for Book two of this series. Nora Robers paints (writes) a story that one can visualize.

Out of the Picture
'Out of the Picture' A Shepherd's Sisters novel is a family story written by Tracy Gardner that is also published by Hallmark. This is the story of Savanna, Sydney, Skylar, Aiden and a few others. It is a story of art and what it means. Savanna is an elementary art teacher that used to be an art authenticator for a museum where she 'researched' art to see what is real or fake. Savanna is on a mission to help out a very close friend of herself and her family. I wonder if this could become a Hallmark movie for Tracy has a created a page turner of a mystery for all. It is a fast read with easy to read type.

Anne Frank
Been away for a while reading many books and reviewing them. Never seems to be enough time in the day. So, one of the first books I read was the complete and unabridged 'The Diary of Anne Frank'. Who has read any of the other versions of this book for school or just interested in the history of the time. I have read many versions of this book that I could find, and I found this version of this 'autobiography' at a local bookstore on the bargain table and something told to buy. This version has each entry that Anne writes starting with 'Dear Kitty' for Anne wanted it to seem as if she were writing and talking to a friend. This is a diary of a young girl that had to grow up too fast and to try and understand all the changes that she was starting to notice about herself and all the others around her. Who really can understand these happenings along with what happening in the world at their time of living life.

Catching Up!?
Catching Up to me means-- reading and reviewing several books that I have received and read, and due to the holidays, having a stomach virus with fever and a bad cold on top of that it was hard to keep up with the writing. Also, I have been having internet and computer issues as well. I have finished reading many books that I reviewed and writing in my notebooks my outlines. I have finished 98% of my household chores inside and outside, but the winds lately keep blowing leaves into piles to clean up.

Conquering Headache
'Conquering Headache' is a professional book that was compiled by Rapoport, Sheftell, and Tepper. This book will start to teach you all about the types of headaches that are out there from the tension-type headache, the two types of migraine headaches, the cluster headache, as well as headaches that maybe caused by alcohol, the environment, etc. There are also various treatments mentioned other then medications like relaxation and biofeedback and a few others. This is an older academic book, but the basic facts still exists and I know there has been changes made since the early 2000's when this textbook was origionally published.

Dark Obsessions A Kate Barnes Thriller
Who likes a mystery? Marie Sutro has written 'Dark Obsessions A Kate Barnes Thriller'. This a murder mystery where the detective Kate Barnes who needs time to pull herself together due to what happened during a previous case that affected her in many ways. Kate has some personal issues to work through and a trip to the Northwest United States could be just the place where the answers could be found in more ways than one. Marie has written this mystery that gives the reader quite a ride into a psychological thriller. The cover art does give the reader a sense of the territory the reader is about to enter. The main character of Kate has many dimensions and Marie Sutro brings those dimensions to light and makes the reader like Kate and will bring about an understanding of what one's mind has to learn to deal with both the past and the present in a given situation.
