JULIAN HOLDS COURT
Ttsp. Ttsp. Ttsp. Ttsp. The jump rope circled Julian and he hopped over it every time it landed under his feet. Dianette stared at him out her garden level unit bedroom window as sweat collected around her onyx tresses. Above her, in the courtyard, his massive bulge dangled from behind the veil of the gray jogging pants he wore. The matching hoodie shielded his now sweaty upper body from the fall elements. He had just woken up. She had just made it home. And 7:12 a.m. found them both getting a workout.

THE GRAY AREA
Relationships are not always black and white. And sometimes, a break-up can leave you seeing red. And we are often left not just with the loss of a person, but with the realization that at some point, you have lost a portion of yourself as well. And we can fear repeating the cycle. While that can be a daunting or jarring revelation, there are a number of things we can do in between relationships to make sure that a whole, healthy, and healed individual shows up at your next pairing.

Change of Heart
The locket fell from the roof. Thyme had always loved that locket. But the man in the blue jacket. had no regard for it. He just wanted the building. Thyme and his cousin, Othello, had found the building shortly after everything “went dark” as they now say. The three-story brick structure had a tower and was flanked by a gate around the entire perimeter. They never imagined they’d be there a year. They just wanted to get off of the streets on what was now known as “Hot Sunday”.
