How to Talk to People with Disabilities
What do you see in your mind's eye when you hear or see the word "disabled?" You probably picture someone in a wheelchair, someone with dark sunglasses and a cane, or someone who holds their hands in a way that comes off as odd to you, and makes noises that seem out of place.

Heat
Sweat is beading on my forehead. It's so hot out here I could bake cookies on the deck beside my pool. I'm eager to jump in, but I'm not sure if it would be rude to be in the pool when you arrive. Just as I'm about to disregard my manners and hop in, I dip my toes in the deliciously cool water and then feel someone shove me right in.
