Prophet in Camouflage
Army green … blood stains — I warn … but child hastes for gun … bullets shred his guts ... Caption Inspired by a survivor’s testimony of the 1989 attack in San Salvador, El Salvador. A soldier was killed. A child, moved by fear or duty, ran for the fallen rifle. The witness warned him not to. The child picked up the gun. The enemy opened fire. His guts were shredded by machine gun bullets.

Yde
A bog in Stijfveen — peat hides Yde Girl’s red hair … and neck with slipknot … Caption Yde Girl (/ˈiː.də/ — “EE-duh”) was discovered in 1897 in the Stijfveen (/ˈstɛif.feɪn/ — “STIFE-vane”) peat bog near Yde, Netherlands. Her body, preserved by acidic peat, revealed red hair, a woolen cape, and a slipknot around her neck—signs of ritual death. She now resides in the Drents Museum.
