Top 5 Horror Sequels We're Still Waiting To See
When looking through the history of cinema it seems that any horror film, even a bad one, is able to spawn sequels. In terms of quality, some films have been strengthened by sequels. Look at the Phantasm series for example. Others, however, have been embarrassed by sequels, the original Halloween being an unfortunate example.

The Sad, Sad Meaning Behind The Phantasm Series
I’m just going to put this out there, I don’t think the Phantasm series has any real message or meaning. We are talking about a franchise that spawned from a film that was supposed to be a one-off. Writer and director Don Coscarelli has stated numerous times that he initially wasn’t interested in making a sequel to the 1979 film.

Beyond Re-Animator: 20 Years Later
Since the 4th of April this year it has officially been 20 years since the release of Beyond Re-Animator, a film and a sequel many are unaware exists. All breeds of horror fan know of the original Re-Animator from 1985, some Bride Of Re-Animator its 1990 sequel, even fewer its 2003 follow-up.

Look at any list of the biggest box office flops and you’ll find Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Considering its $137 million budget and $85 million box office, it’s easy to see why. Reviews ranged from mixed to negative, many praising its cutting-edge animation but also panning its bland story and boring characters.

Life Off The Grid
Ok, firstly I was without wi-fi for about eight days which is more than a week but that wouldn’t make for such a catchy subtitle. Secondly, while I did manage to access the internet using mobile data on my phone afterwards, I only had 20 GB of data so I had to moderate my browsing.

Why Kong MUST Win in Godzilla Vs Kong
Godzilla has atomic breath. Godzilla has armoured skin. Godzilla can swim. Godzilla is actually quite intelligent. These are most of the arguments made against Kong’s potential victory in the upcoming Godzilla Vs Kong and, to be honest, they’re all right. Realistically Kong could never beat Godzilla. It’s like expecting a gorilla to take out a crocodile.

Another 5 Horror Sequels We're Still Waiting to See
Ok, so over a year ago I penned an article called ‘Top Five Horror Sequels We’re Still Waiting to See.’ Number two was 28 Months Later and number one was Candyman Four. Since the article was published, Danny Boyle and Alex Garland announced that they’re moving forward with a 28 Days Threequel and Jordan Peele has started production on a ‘spiritual sequel’ to Candyman.

Why 1990s 'Night of the Living Dead' Is One of the Better Horror Remakes
There are as many good remakes as there are many good films. Very few. A remake is the opportunity to take a story, a character or an idea that was expressed in one film and express it differently in another. Remakes such as De Palma's Scarface, The Cohen Brothers' True Grit, and John Carpenter's The Thing are good examples.
