Sebastian recovered his senses quickly enough to reach Louisa before she fell backwards onto the floor. The whole sickening episode took only seconds, but to Sebastian, it seemed to last a lifetime. He knelt at her side, cradling her in his arms, the arrows burning where they touched him. Sebastian barely noticed the pain as he grasped each in turn and pulled them free of Louisa’s body. With them gone, Sebastian scooped Louisa into his arms and held her tightly. Burying his face in her neck, he wept, cursed, and vowed that he would rip the angel limb from limb when he found it.

Aided by Louisa’s control over the winds, the journey took little time, and the trio approached their destination a little before dawn. Ciel had fallen asleep shortly after they had begun, and remained sleeping soundly in Sebastian’s arms as Louisa began to recognise her surroundings.

Unfortunately, they are interrupted by reaper Grell Sutcliffe; the flamboyant reaper is less than impressed that Sebastian has chosen a girl over him. With the mood well and truly ruined, the pair return to Louisa's room and explore ways of staying quiet.

While she would rather be wrapped in Sebastian’s arms, the water was soothing and helped to remove the last of the aches from the morning. Mey-Rin entered the room, ready to wash Louisa’s hair. When she moved behind Louisa, she noted the maid’s sudden intake of breath.

Soon after preparing Ciel for bed, Sebastian appeared at Louisa’s door. Louisa lay in her bed, waiting for him; he approached and held out his hand. “Come with me,” he said. She took his hand and allowed him to pull her up out of bed. Wrapping his arms around her, he brought her in close and kissed her. Louisa responded, opening her lips and giving his tongue access to her mouth.

The Scourge of the Demon Hunters—Act 22
The place they went was far removed from the grand crescent where the Phantomhive London residence sat. The narrow streets were watched by watery eyed children and dirt covered everything. Dank buildings loomed over them on each side, adding to the feeling of being constantly watched by some unseen dark presence. Only the towering figure of Sebastian walking close behind them seemed to keep the ragged masses away from them. Even in human form, he could exude menace that few mortals would risk tangling with.
