Dear Anonymus user, the last few days have been rough. Yesterday marked exactly one week since I was last able to write. Or should I say - since I was last able to write something good, something I was proud of and something that I was willing to share with the world.

Fields of Purple
It was the first day of July. The enchanting smell of lavender filled up the air, as the warm southern wind made its way across vast fields of the French Provence. Raising above them was a hill and right there on that hill stood an old convent, majestic in both its size and age.

All blue, everything
He reached for a pack of Marlboro's that he just bought that same morning, and pulled out what seemed to be the last cigarette still left in there. "The last one is always the sweetest..." he mumbled to himself as he finally lit it up, brought it closer to his lips and inhaled deeply. With the smoke slowly making it's way into his bloodstream, he felt himself sinking into the soft cushions of the old blue armchair. His head fell backwards as the smoke finally left his lungs, and for a moment it seemed like his body didn't contain a single bone in it.

And so it came... the grand finale we have all so eagerly anticipated. The old year has rolled around like an avalanche, crushing under it the normality of life we were so accustomed to and bringing forth a special opportunity. An opportunity to start fresh and begin again - this year, hopefully, equipped with more luck and less restraints.
