Dear 2021 Me: You're going to use Vocal to make this year one of the best. I know right now you think the world can't get much better, but we are going to try our best to strive for happiness, greatness and success. We worked hard in 2020, despite everything, and we deserve a good break.

2020: The Soundtrack
The year 2020 is coming to a close, and naturally it's only right for us to reflect on what we've done this year. For a lot of us, we've not done much! 2020 hasn't been the year we expected it to be (throwback to New Years: WELCOME TO A NEW DECADE IT'S GOING TO BE GREAT AND - oh, what was that? 2020 is cancelled?!)

Sweaty Betty: A Workout Playlist
So, it's lockdown 2.0 in England and the home workouts are back! No gym, just cardio around the nearest park, and leg and ab workouts all while you binge a new show on Netflix. The winter season has kicked in here in the UK, and it has brought all of its cold air and dark nights with it. It's definitely NOT the type of weather that's going to get you motivated.

Black History Month: Black Male Artists
Back in July I made an article focusing on black female artists, during the height of the Black Lives Matter movement this year. As this month is Black History Month, it’s only fair that I highlight black male artists who are equally as important as their female counterparts. You can read the article on black female artists here.

Big Brain Bangers. Third Place in Brain Power Playlist Challenge.
This year has been a weird one, to say the least. The world has been flipped upside down and we’re all getting used to this new way of life. Wearing masks, social distancing, and the constant use of hand sanitizer! But, this new way of life has also has a plus side: WFH! Working from home has become the new normal, and for most of us that’s pretty great.

It's Love, Actually
Let me set the scene for you. I was probably around age 6, spending the weekend with my Grandma in December. I stayed with her every other weekend and we’d always watch a film before bed. As it was nearly Christmas, my Grandma recommended that we watch a Christmas movie, even though it was I hadn’t heard of. She said it wasn’t animated, so I instantly felt grown up to be watching a film with real people in it. We started watching it, and I was enjoying it, and then BOOM. There he is. A small, ginger boy with a cute face who is called Sam. Hello, first celebrity crush.

I ˂3 The Eighties . Top Story - August 2020.
So you’re telling me I can only listen to one decade of music when I’ve grown up on 90's and 2000s pop music, my nana’s love for Elvis and my own music taste that varies from AC/DC to Nicki Minaj?? Well damn, the answer is pretty obvious to me.
