The UFO
Millie rolled her eyes when she heard her little brother Jack knock on her door and yell her name. She was right in the middle of binging music videos on Youtube. Being interrupted was annoying, especially for what would probably be something stupid. She got up from her bed and went to the door. When she opened it, she asked, "What?" in a somewhat annoyed tone.

Roger and the Bully. Content Warning.
As the sun shined through the window, Roger woke up from his first night in the new house. He had been tired from the move, so he went to bed early and had a good night's sleep. Now, he felt well rested and ready to explore the new neighborhood. He got dressed and went downstairs to have breakfast with his parents. After eating a bowl of cereal, he headed outside, turned left, and started walking down the sidewalk.

Sarah and Nicole
Sarah gazed into her bedroom mirror, admiring her freshly brushed shoulder-length blonde hair and shiny pink lipgloss. She wanted to wear more makeup, but since she was only nine years old, her mom didn't think she was ready. It was annoying to have to wait, but at least her lipgloss went well with her pink skirt and top. Her nail polish was a similar shade of pink, and she had gotten very good at applying it evenly without getting it on her skin. Sarah grinned, happy with how pretty she had made herself for the party. She couldn't wait for everyone to see her.

Audrey and Brandon
One afternoon on her way home from school, Audrey decided to stop by the library. She had a few hours of alone time each weekday now that her mom started a new job. It was nice to have the house to herself, but it was getting boring, so she wanted to find a new hangout place. She went to the second floor and sat down at a table to do her homework. The quiet, relaxing environment made it easy for her to focus, and before long, her work was finished.

Scott's Treasure
Scott had always been curious about the attic in his house. The entrance was a trap door on the ceiling of his closet. He couldn't reach it, and any time he asked one of his parents for help, they told him there was nothing up there, so it wasn't worth going. On a few occasions, he dragged a chair into his closet, but it had never been enough to help him reach the door. However, Scott had grown since the last time he tried, and now that he was eight, he thought he might be able to reach it this time. His mom had just left to go to the grocery store, so he had the house to himself for a little while. This was the perfect time to try again!

Katie's Shocking Discovery. Content Warning.
As the sun started to set, Katie jumped from her swing and began her walk home. The swing set was her favorite part of the small playground in the woods near her house. She went there almost every day, and now that it was summer break, she could spend as much time there as she wanted during the day.

Lily's Pond
Every couple of months, Lily got to spend the weekend at her grandma's house. It was her favorite place to be, and she always looked forward to her next visit. The refrigerator and pantry were full of snacks, and there were lots of toys, games, and movies for her to enjoy. It was a cottage on the countryside with a lot of open space to run around. A few of the trees were easy to climb, and a swing hung from a large tree at the edge of the woods.
