Drive Faster
I could smell the city on me. No one needed to point it out. It was the smell of fast food, exhaust fumes, sweat and wind. If I had a car, this smell would be a thing of the past. The smell of hard work and life never cutting you a break. The smell of my mom. Life never cut her a break. She wouldn't have allowed it to if it had tried. She was too mean and tired and stubborn to ever accept help from anyone. In the end, that's probably why he left. It's hard to love a wild dog. You will always get bit, eventually.

Suburban Myth
Saturday mornings are arguably the busiest time of the week. The farmers markets are bustling with couples buying their locally grown produce and handmade soaps. The soccer fields roar as crowds of families cheer on their players. As you drive through the countless neighborhoods, the smell of fresh cut grass creeps in through the window. It sounds like a suburban myth, but its exactly what draws the droves of new families moving in weekly: The sense of togetherness and pride in the community. There is a reason it was ranked number two in the nation for safety and places to raise a family and you can get lost in the euphoria of that bubble.

Who?
The buzzing of the engines. The flashing of the blue box coming into view. Two travelers popping their heads out of the door, taking in their new scenery. Many episodes of Doctor Who start just like this. It wouldn't matter if they all did, I can't get enough. That engine buzz calls out to me and makes me long to hear it out my window. Would I go? If the Doctor stood outside my door and beckoned me to come, would I be brave enough? Duh... I would go in a heartbeat. Kiss my life as I know it goodbye and see the Universe. Perhaps I'd sip a little tea with Jane Austen. I would definitely visit the public baths in Rome. I'd probably even go back to the beginning. See where it all started.I mean we are talking space AND time. The options are limitless.
