Kekoa is a deaf Blue Heeler with tons of personality! We adopted Kaya, another Blue Heeler, to be his ears. There is never a dull moment with these two.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, my family and I adopted a Blue Heeler Cattle Dog mix, Kekoa, who quickly became a beloved member of our family. Kekoa is an affectionate and loving pup that happens to be deaf. Because of this, we decided to adopt another cattle dog to be his ears. We trained our second dog, Kaya, for recall and assist with Kekoa’s auditory challenges. Both Kekoa and Kaya have since become irreplaceable members of our family bringing us so much joy and memories that will last a lifetime.
