Chapter 17 Klara gulped and Randolf knew her fears were rising as well as his own. He stood up and turned so that she was behind him as he demanded what the woman wanted. Knowing she’d better be prepared, Klara grabbed her knife from under her skirt and held it behind her back.

Werewolf
Chapter 16 It was weeks before Carina sent word about a Council Meeting. In that time, Klara had regained most of her strength and magic as well as her confidence. At first she had been afraid to regain her magic, thinking that Gerrick would come after her heart again. But Randolf promised to train her so she was better equipped to handle him. She’d been beaten for days after refusing to give into Gertrudes demands. The young Wiccan finally understood what forced her mother to flee, to start a new life far away from this place. She’d refused to give in to the darkness as Gertrude had, and knew she was no match for the evil. Klara would rather die than become like her evil aunt. She could never disgrace her mother’s memory like that.

Werewolf
Klara panted heavily as she raced through the dark Forest, desperate for freedom. It didn’t matter where she went, as long as Gertrude and her minions didn’t catch her again. Her strength was fading fast as leaned against a tree for a while to catch her breath. She was barely able to calm her heart when she heard her aunt yell,
