A relationship is not a box that you build and then invite someone to "participate/live" in, with you. A relationship is something that didn't exist in any way, shape or form until that person, who is in it with you, showed up. It is something that grows out of the connection you feel with this specific individual. It is not a blueprint used to build a house, it is instead, the raw materials scattered everywhere and it is the time and effort it takes to turn all of those things into something strong and weatherproof. You cannot invite someone into your life with even the thought of them being the missing component to the relationship you desire. By doing so, you miss the point. You are more concerned with filling a void in your own life, than opening your eyes to the truth of who they are. Their unique purpose in your life goes way beyond your need to find a girlfriend or boyfriend just to fill the role that would provide you with a relationship.
