Hand-me-down Girl
Mom drops a full garbage bag at the foot of my bed. "Alice. Here are your new clothes," she says, voice sharp and brisk. I stifle a groan. New clothes. In a garbage bag. They're hand me downs. New to me, but old to someone else. Tossed out because they don't want them. Then passed to me. And I'm expected to be grateful.

The Siren's Curse- Chapter One
When I walk through the door of my home, I don't bother to yell to my wife that I'm home. She won't say anything back. Oh, how I miss the early days in our marriage. When I'd come home and Lucy would greet me at the door, eyes shining as she throws her arms around my neck and kisses me.

Can We Talk about EPIC: The Musical?
I've been listening to EPIC for a long time. I have every song memorized. I have said "smash" to about every male character in EPIC (What? Their voices are hot!!) This is my longstanding musical addiction. I have fallen in love with some other musicals (Hadestown, The Lightning Thief, etc), but I'm always going to be in love with EPIC.
