A Christmas to Remember
As a little girl growing up in Quebec, Christmas Eve was always idyllic. Snow blanketed ground and trees, the smell of firewood drifting on the frigid winter wind and glowing lights twinkling against the white landscape, reminiscent of a Thomas Kinkade painting. Heathen
It was a chilly morning at the coffee shop, not unusual for late November in Tucson, when an older woman struck up a conversation. Without hesitation, I allowed the woeful tale to spill.
