The Headless Horseman
Sometime ago, up the mountain between Toas and Mora, there lived a family of sheepherders. They were a typical family of the time, three generations and a dozen children all living on the ranch, taking turns at the various chores from tending sheep to tilling the field and felling trees.

Long Nose the Liar. Top Story - July 2025.
There was an old liar who lived in our village. I’m sure of it. No one else seems to remember him, but then again no one else seemed to like him either. Back then the other children called him “Long Nose the Liar” because he looked like Pinocchio, and all his stories sounded like lies.

Power of I AM
Note: For the TL;DR please go the final paragraph. “The Power of I Am: Two Words That Will Change Your Life Today,” (2016) by Joel Osteen is a self-help book which presents Positive Thinking as a Christian principle. Positive Thinking is the idea that our words or thoughts manifest into reality. For Osteen, these thoughts are “I am” statements which “will bring either success or failure,” (1) because “whatever you follow the “I am” with, you’re…giving it permission to be in your life.” (2). Osteen presents this idea as a Christian principle by using Bible passages, and writes that when your “I Am”s align with ‘who God says you are’ you “invite the goodness of God,” (7). Despite this affirmation of belief, a closer examination of Osteen’s message reveals disconnects from core Christian teachings.

One Who Seeks the Light
I’m leaving it all, my love: The village, the temple, this life we’ve built, and you. I don’t expect your forgiveness, but even so I’ve loved you since the day we met, and I love you still. I didn’t tell the temple, I can think of no good words for them, but for you above all I wanted to leave an explanation, a reason, if only to ease my own guilt.
