Political Idolatry
We live in a world built on difference. Everyone has a different opinion or point of view on something right? Though there is nothing wrong with having an opinion or ideology you should never get so invested in these differences that you become socially or morally corrupted. That’s exactly what’s taking place in this day in age, especially here in America. This mindset has become such a stronghold that it has led to what many have referred to as political idolatry.

I’m Loving Memory Of: Bill Cobbs
Imagine this. A toddler me is sitting in the living room watching the movie New Jack City starring Wesley Snipes and Ice T and the movie’s antagonist Nino Brown is my favorite character in the movie. I’m enjoying everything about the character until some crazy old dude portrayed bill actor Bill Cobbs, who doesn’t like his villainous ways decides to enter the courtroom after the villain is set free from his wrong doing and shoots him dead. I hated that old guy when I was little, but liked him more as I got older and understood why he did what he did. The actor who played the crazy old dude is Bill Cobbs and he is a true legend of cinema.

Black Mental Health
One of the world’s greatest conflicts is issues surrounding mental health. Poor mental health has contributed to a lot of the world’s woes and has created a lot of misery when misguided choices have been made by those with poor mental health. As an African American male I’ve come to realize in my adulthood that mental health is an issue in the Black community that has never been properly addressed and I think if we did address it more then a lot of progress would be made.
