Breath
In and out I just took a breath Preparing myself for what I'm going to say Rehearsing the words? Ive been doing it all day Wondering if by ear it can play You know, The things I say I mean, What I want to say Those of which I've been rehearsing all day Those things that I've have yet to say Those things… In…. Out… I just took a breath Within a yawn... Within a yawn I just took a breath But it is not yet dawn Dawn.. Dawn... Dusk, daylight Midnight Twilight... Not yet twilight And even in the lack of light I cant express, Even in the light I regress, There is no progress In the light And in the midnight There lies a stress A stress where I still Can't say, Can't say that of which Was rehearsed today The many words I've yet to say Those words I cannot say Those words… Those words… In… Out… I just took a breath Outside of time and I looked into this heart of mine Which turned to gold and silver lime And cleansed the soul of the divine Divine... Divine..... Divinity What can save me from this affinity? The unspoken of trinity Before my eyes, I realize They lie within me This trinity of divine light And even with light I still regress And in the light I can't express The lack of progress Where I cannot say That which was rehearsed all day Things I cant bring myself to say Things I cannot say Not refuse to say But do delay In what to say To you…. Out… Seasons pass and thunders roll Father time continues to old While mother nature's brow unfolds While mother nature grabs a hold Of a distressed and lonely soul She begins to feel woe She feels burden and woe She feels the heavy woe As father time brings the night In the night she blows and cries While softly humming her lullaby But father time blinds her with light And she recoils in fright For in the light she cannot hum She cannot say The words that she rehearsed today Like me, She does not refuse to say But delays in what to say For in the night she can express The words of heart without the stress But in the light The blinding light The yellow, scorching Blinding light She and I still regress Promoting the lack of progress Where we cannot say In…… Afraid to say What was rehearsed today Unaware of father time's graying age Unaware of father time's being weary He lay….
