It's 2AM Somewhere
Max Arcane was a cool guy, a legend in his own mind, like Elvis or Prince or Keanu Reeves. He was young at heart, always hanging out in the park with girls that were way too young for him. A lion surrounded by young females. He loved collecting movies, especially horror blu rays. He swore he would kill anyone that tried to take his flicks. "Don't take my flicks man!" Max told his friend Reggie. His friends were all younger. Reggie was his protégé, in training to be the next late night underground film/music review master.

The Vanisher
What do you suppose would happen if someone had high technology in a less advanced time? They would be super human. Like gods. Like a phantom. Like an urban legend. There are things you cannot explain hiding in plain sight. How did you lose that key? How did you lose that shirt? Who left the light on? You eye the lightning and you could swear there was something riding down inside of it. You heard the shadows whisper. One fateful night all of the above occurred at the same time to one lucky guy.

The Sleeper Cell
There was a guy that might remind you of someone you know even, that kind of guy that you never gave much thought to. He seems the same as everyone else, except there's something a bit off about him. Jasper will be his name for this incarnation. He told himself he would never watch the news like his parents did and when he moved out that's just what he started doing to keep track of time, knowing that his dad used to watch the news at 6pm. If he missed it then he would lose track of time and stay up really late.

Out On Hwy 101
Up late checking the want ads on the net since nobody uses newspapers in a small town; those are for big city guys looking for big city jobs that pay good. Got a ton of experience but after a good number of years it's all no good as you start all over. Nobody knows how hard it is to get a job after enough time goes by and you have no references to mention. I could be a manager of a restaurant by now, or a graphic designer, but that's not the hand I was dealt. For some people it's not so easy to prove how damn smart you are.
