Hats off to February - Knitting With The Wool Mill
I was hungry for inspiration on cold winter day. I knew I needed some sort of small project, and I wanted it to involve knitting. The holidays were winding down so it wasn't obvious what to work on next. I had also recently moved, and more than 80% of my belongings were still in storage. The itch to knit was both inconvenient and sensible. I was craving something to soothe the stress of relocation and felt disconnected from my stash.

are you satisfied with an average life?
It was 2010. Placebo had just released some "new" album (likely Covers) and I noticed it was available on iTunes just when I needed it. I knew it was just a bunch of re-released bonus tracks, but its timeliness was satisfying. I was not doing well.

hidden gems games - GRIS
One of my goals for 2020 is to actually play through my "never touched" games. I was planning stint of dedicated gaming time as part of a commitment to self care. I was drawn to games that looked like a sharply unique experience - something I had a revived thirst for after playing Persona5. I was in the mood for more games that would blow my mind a bit over how a narrative in a game could unfold.

How I Taught Myself to Print Gold and Launch A Jewelry Line
I had no intention of launching a jewelry store. It started off as looking for some side gigs to finance one of my own software engineering projects. I listed myself as available to assist people with their Etsy store on a task by task basis. The idea was to view it as pocket change for projects I was never funding due to it being a "frivolous" pursuit. (I still don't have that rasberry pi that's been sitting in my project bucket list, for example!)

I experience chronic pain, and there's actually nothing particularly unique about that. The CDC reports that roughly 20% of Americans reported chronic pain in 2019. Roughly 8% reported that their pain was so severe it impacted their ability to conduct a "normal" life - aka the life they want.
