Why I Don't Celebrate Valentine's Day
My husband and I have recently been married for only four months. Since we dated, we didn't really see a reason to celebrate Valentine's Day. I had several Valentine's with my Dad being my Valentine. I had two previous beaus who often got the same old stick, rose bouquets and chocolates. But since our last Valentine's Day being a college graveyard date, I think we had had enough for one lifetime.

Top Five Roaring Twenties Books
Next year will be the one hundred mark since the 1920 New Year. We are officially heading into a modern world. At the time of the 1920's, there was prohibition, no one could sell alcohol but can have small quantities in their house. The flappers were the modern woman, short dresses and rolled stockings to their knees. Cigarettes and short hair were just a few of the more iconic embraces into the new turn of the century era.

How to Be Accurate With Cash Flow
Working in a retail store can be stressful, especially if you are having money issues. Recently since my coming back from a honeymoon in Iceland, where the ice and cold froze away my cares of sunshine and oranges in Florida, I came back to a store where three employees quit. One was the former assistant to the general manager who was there for three years. It was time to pursue her degree. The other two were employees who have had some rough situations with phones, bathrooms, and eating store products while the hiring manager was on the clock.

Here might be some of the future prospects of a tourist and local economy that deserve the best boom in decades.

Degas at the Lightner Museum
There has been some great news about some of the events and exhibitions heading to the Lightner Museum. Last year they had Downtown Abbey costumes, and used some pieces from their own collection to provide the reflective outlook of the turn of the century England. But this year is going to be one of the most celebrated painters in modern art history. Edgar Degas, and some of those impressionist friends in his circle, like Cassatt and Manet will be alongside him, in a debut of their most intimate sketches and incomplete art projects.

Going to a Celtic Festival
I had previously been to a Celtic festival that was hosted in downtown Saint Augustine. There were a large parade and a long crowd of people wanting to get into Francis Field for the highland games, good music, good food, and all the best merchandise you can find about Celtic customs.

Protecting Francis Field
Last night, I got out of work early at my popcorn store and I waited for my ride home when in the middle of the silence of the car ride, I heard from my fiance who works at the Lighter tell me some of the rumors he has heard from locals who work downtown in the midst of tourists checking out Saint George Street.
