Elegant, Thrilling and Suave: A Simple Favour Is My Film of 2018
As someone who works pretty much full time and has a mountain load of uni work to do I don't get as many chances to go to the cinema as I would like, even if I am studying film. However this year was a record for me as I saw four films in the cinema which was a nice change. The Incredibles 2 was fun and nostalgic but lacked enough Edna Mode screen time, let's be honest she's everyone's favourite. Mamma Mia 2 was a guilt trip by my cousin who really wanted to see it but no-one would go with him. It's utter rubbish but worth it for that one line, we all know the line. Ocean's 8 had the makings of something really special but crappy writing, weird pacing and lazy directing meant all the weight fell to the actresses to pull off a miracle. Good, but not amazing.

Album of 2018: 'LM5'. Top Story - December 2018.
As someone who appreciates music from all genres, my opinion on music is varied. Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd is the album I consider to be the best of all time; however my personal favourite album of all time is Eye to the Telescope by KT Tunstall. Selecting LM5 as the best album of this year for me was tough and I absolutely have to give a shout out to Janelle Monae with Dirty Computer and Ariana Grande with Sweetner; however, Little Mix just delivered for me in 2018.

'Ocean's 8' Had the Makings of Something Great
Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, and Rihanna are some of the big names thrown at this film. Add in the hilarious trio of Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, and Awkwafina and the cast alone is enough to get you excited about Ocean's 8.

Universal Studios Orlando
Like my Disney World list, rides that I haven't ridden - such as the new Fast and Furious ride - will not be included in the list as it would be unfair to pass judgment on these rides. Also, rides that are closed or in the process of closing - like Shrek 4D - will also be left off the list. The list covers both of the Orlando parks, Universal Studios and Universal Studios: Islands of Adventure.

Redefining Sitcom
Warning for Spoilers. For the most part, Friends was the last sitcom of its time. It was the last sitcom, possibly even television show, that people genuinely sat down to watch together. Friends was a show that at the time catered to the masses, a show that was liberal with its humour and yet conservative with its representation. I know that some of you are thinking that I'm another Gen Z snowflake who needs to get over myself and that Friends is a classic. I agree that Friends is a classic, and to this day is still watchable, but the truth is that its representation sucks. Fact one: out of ten seasons of the show, there is only one character of colour that appears in more than one episode, and that to me is shocking, especially considering that Friends is set in one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world. Fact two: the LGBTQ+ community is not only underrepresented but also the butt of the joke on most occasions. I understand that at the time of the show's release homosexuality was still considered by the majority of people to be wrong and laughable and that's why it's portrayed the way it is in Friends; that doesn't excuse the fact that this wouldn't happen on TV now. Fact three: Ross was a crappy boyfriend who treated Rachel like his property rather than his girlfriend bringing, him across as a little sexist. He didn't trust her, he hated the idea of her being friends with Mark, and didn't want her to have a life separate from him. I will, however, stipulate that they were on a break.

The Glamorisation of Dementia in the Media
In the UK over 850,000 people are living with dementia and it's estimated at this point that one in three people will develop it over the years. In the U.S it's estimated that around 5.3 million people are living with this disease. With the recent interest in bringing attention to this disease, many media portrayals of dementia have caught people's attention.

Why 'Grace and Frankie' Is the Best Comedy Show Out There at the Moment
As someone from Britain with a very British sense of humour (and yes that's humour with a U) I have always preferred British comedy to American comedy. Whilst I have enjoyed American comedies, I've found over the years that they are severely lacking something fresh and distinctly funny. Shows like The Big Bang Theory just aren't cutting it anymore. Enter Grace and Frankie, the Netflix comedy. Discovered through complete boredom, it may be the best TV decision I ever made. Starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, Grace and Frankie is the story of two women in their '70s whose husbands come out as gay and have fallen in love with each other. We follow Grace and Frankie, who move in together, and see their personalities clash but also get a glimpse into the lives of the two ex-husbands Robert and Sol and all their children.

Walt Disney World Orlando
As someone who has visited Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida four times now, I consider myself somewhat of an expert, as do other people. I find myself constantly giving advice, directions and have even been mistaken as a cast member a few times.

Disney's 'Weird' Period
Disney has been bringing animated and live action films to our screens for years and whilst I am a huge Disney fan I find that most of these films fall into the same cookie cutter category. Disney found a formula that worked and stuck to it, nobody can blame them for that when it makes them billions of dollars. However, when Mulan was released in 1998, we were suddenly given a new era of Disney film.
