An event that changed me...
Growing up in the shadow of the space shuttle program was an exciting experience for those of us living within the vicinity of NASA. I watched from 3.5 miles away as the first shuttle launch of Columbia blasted off, as the first woman took flight, and as the space industry rushed back into life. But all the excitement was background noise in my life, after a few years it was routine and kind of boring for a child in that big shadow. The space program was perfect to my 12-year-old mind until one day it was shattered along with the space shuttle Challenger.

The Forks in Life
Left or right, black or white, yes or no, a constant twisting, turning of decision making. This life of ever evolving forks is always a page turner and always going to have that mysterious fork that comes out of nowhere. Do we take the dark and twisty or do we take the bright and shiny? Do we always take the one our friends want us to take since that is the way we all must go, or do we take the one less taken for the solitude of the trip? The fork we take sometimes by ourselves can be lonely The fork that we are instinctively led to can be the plot twist that is needed for us to be our best selves.
