Stardust Dreams
Why the Cosmos Captivates Us Why does the cosmos, with its endless tapestry of stars, planets, and galaxies, hold such a powerful sway over our imaginations? Imagine, if you will, the night sky as a vast, enchanted canvas, where every twinkling star is a whispered secret, every nebula a swirl of cosmic paint, and every distant galaxy a hidden realm waiting to be explored. It’s a place where our wildest dreams and deepest curiosities converge, a magical frontier that calls out to the adventurer in us all.

The Deceptive Dance of the Bee Orchid
The Enigmatic Bee Orchid: Nature’s Master of Deception In the quiet corners of meadows and grassy slopes, where the earth breathes through the whisper of wildflowers and the sun’s golden fingers gently caress the soil, there exists a flower that is both a marvel and a mystery. This is the tale of the Bee Orchid (Ophrys apifera), a flower that has mastered the art of mimicry, weaving a delicate dance of deception in the heart of nature’s intricate tapestry.

Quiet Reflections
* * * * * * I unlocked the door of my flat and walked in. My roommate wasn't back yet. I locked the door from the inside and dropped my black polythene bag by the side of my bed. I knelt down with my hands in the air and thanked God for another successful and adventurous day and prayed for His grace to be able to scale through my remaining years in the university with more success. I did the sign of the cross and stood up from where I was. I quickly changed into my housewear and dashed into the kitchen with two packets of indomitables in my hand. I washed up the plates that were in the sink and cooked my noodles.

Quiet Reflections
“Obinna and I have been very close friends and business partners for so long. I wouldn't want anything to jeopardize the solid relationship we've built together that's why I accepted his proposal. He rarely asks me for any favors and now that he has asked for one, I can't refuse him.”

Quiet Reflections
ONE I sat quietly by one of the windows of management sciences' hall 7, waiting for the lecturer to come. I looked around. The class was noisy due to the incessant chatter of students. I looked at my phone's screen. It was 7:58am. Our lecture was expected to commence in two minutes’ time. Suddenly, a dark complexioned middle aged man walked in. It was our lecturer for political science, Prof. Onu James Onyema. He climbed onto the little podium and scribbled on the white board, 'PUB 103 INTRODUCTION TO POLITICAL SCIENCES', in a black colored marker. Then he turned around and cleared his throat. The class was still noisy but some students had begun to take their seats. I looked back at the lecturer. He didn't seem pissed. He just stood quietly and patiently waited for the noise to die down. I felt a lump in my throat. I had begun to think what if the lecturer had something sinister in mind? Both the offenders and the innocents would all be in trouble. And of course, the penalty would be a reduction of marks in his course. I silently prayed that the students who had itchy mouths would see reason in maintaining silence and order. It took about five minutes before the noise died down and everyone became aware of the lecturer's presence. He cleared his throat again and adjusted his glasses. He smiled at the class before he spoke.
