The State Of The World. Content Warning.
I hate the world we live in. I hate the lies we're told. What makes me sick is the fact that we can see the commercialized destruction of the human race and still turn to our youth and say, "you have a future". I hate the fact that we watch systematic oppression impact everyone every day and still tell them to go forth and multiply. The powers that be spit in the faces of those who built their glass houses, and they act as if the barriers make them different. They created the idea of currency and controlled what the rest of us get JUST so they could have something we don't. They have to backslide through the loopholes they pay lawyers to find just to get ahead in a system THEY CREATED! They convince you that you have to get off your ass to make something of yourself when theirs are growing roots from meaningless "meetings", their lips are bruised from the ass kissing they do. Tell me, how can you still live in a system that normalized breaking a child's spirit just so they don't "dream too hard" or "aim too high"? The system kept people in chains and the others blinded by a made-up dream of a nation that wasn't even a real nation, but a company. A company that uses your existence as credit, your labor as a tax right off, and your children as collateral we send into wars they've already planned and scripted an ending to. How? How can we stay? How could you support it? Our world is burning and the powers that be are only going leave it and us behind, on spacecrafts paid for and built by us. They will leave us with fallen rubble while we point fingers at each other.

Preference or Traumatized. Content Warning.
The struggle of trying to figure myself out has been an uphill journey. The need for understanding myself is necessary for self-growth, and to do that I must confront uncomfortable truths. I’ve never really thought of myself as asexual, but the thought of coitus makes me feel uncomfortable. I’ve only had sex once in my life- it wasn’t a satisfying experience, and I’ve since foregone sex. Most people would simply imply that the partner may not have been stable and that I should seek others with more experience and knowledge. I won’t argue with that, it does have merit. I don’t engage simply from a lack of curiosity and disinterest. The idea of sexual intercourse doesn’t seem like a disinteresting concept but the action itself is where I find a disconnect.

What is Self-Love
In 2023 the topic of self-love turned into a mini-movement but it often gets misconstrued with materialism and self-care. Let's talk about it. You are now listening to Nickel and Dime, a show where I give you my two cents in hopes of provoking positive change.

Traditional Relationships
Many conversations are being had about what it means to be a "traditional woman" or man. This word gets thrown around like kids playing a game of keep-away but from where I'm standing everyone keeps losing. What does it mean to be "traditional" and which tradition are you referring to? In the dating market of 2023, so many men claim to want a traditional woman, one who cooks, cleans, raises children, and maintains herself to an almost impossible standard.

Imma be alright
There will never be a love greater than one of one’s self. Since we were young we looked to the world for what’s within us only because we were brought to a world lost on the concept entirely. We are warriors without armor because the brokenness of others told us there was no war to fight - they told us the war was lost long before our conception. THEY LIED! They lied to us all, then we lied to ourselves, and then to others. We’ve created a vicious cycle of lost loves and empty wants. We did that. The world's arms are as warm as fire in our hearts if only we’d stop hoarding them like dragons. We could have the world in our hands, but if we sit and wait it will mean nothing. What is gold in the hands of someone who’s looking for silver? What is silver in the hands of someone who’s looking for copper? It means nothing if we keep wanting less. We search for silver linings and copper bottoms because we haven’t been taught to do anything else. Once you see how you were robbed you’ll never ask for anything less, I promise you.

Accountability
Accountability The conversation between men and women has shed light on many issues. It still gets out of hand quickly. The main issue I’ve observed has been that when it comes to accountability, the blame gets placed on one party and one party alone- Which is funny because most of these conversations have both sides admitting that accountability is needed. So, who takes accountability? And when do you take accountability?

If I Could Do It Over
I stood there in the dark cold, wondering who- if anyone, would come and find me. Atop that ledge, the ending to my story was a jump away, “ it’s cold out, I wonder what the water’s like.” I whisper to myself, buying time. Waiting for someone. anyone. “ this is it, isn’t it? I’m going to jump and no one would ever know I'm gone."

Shadow Work
These are a collection of poems from a dark time in my life and I’d like to advise that if you are not in the mindset to hear dark subject matter, please do not go any further. These poems were written over a year or two, and I find myself expressing my thoughts through art because direct words tend to escape me in hard times. Just to make sure I made myself clear. THESE POEMS MAY INVOKE DARK THOUGHTS IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE RIGHT HEADSPACE, DO CONTINUE WITH CAUTION. Thank you and you have been warned.

what did we do
It was the summer before my senior year of high school. The roughest summer of my life. I went to the countryside to stay with my grandma, Nora. she lived alone after my grandpa passed, in an accident. She refused to leave the home they made together but some say there was a different reason. some say it was murder, and she didn’t want anyone to find out. I thought they were just crazy rumors until that summer.

Data Log
For my eyes only, keep out. 4th September 20XX Dear Reader, Hello, my name is not important. My work is very classified, and the secrets I hold could change the fate of the world. I feel as though I am being monitored, that is why I am sending these transmissions. This is the only form of communication that I believe to be 100% free of prying eyes.
