I just wrote the best article for Vocal – again. I know it because it has a catchy title, showcases the perfect picture, hooks the reader, and quite frankly, is riveting. I spent hours and hours and HOURS on it, plus I edited it a hundred times. So what’s left to do?

Clichés are a dime a dozen???
Aaaah, clichés. You’d have to be as blind as a bat not to see them. They’re everywhere. I'll bet your bottom dollar you’ll say and hear many every day. That's just how the cookie crumbles.

Unintended Consequences
“Here, I got you a going-away present.” Our eyes meet and I force a smile. I take the gift and put it in my purse. “You’ll be fine,” he said, gently taking my hands and looking straight into my soul. “I promise you, you’ll be fine. If you need anything ever...ever, you call me.” He draws me in and gives me the most deliberate hug I’ve ever received.
