The Legend of Don Conrado Pt.5
From a distance, Cherybdis watched. She was directly downstream and could see these events unfolding before her very eyes. Indeed, she was especially vexed when she witnessed the don emerge so gracefully up out of the water — as though he were some long-forsaken knight, from some far and distant realm, suddenly freed from the clutches of her arch-rival, Scylla, almost as if it were magic. And though, up until now, the don had been carelessly lax in keeping his person so near to the bank, and had perhaps warranted this invitation, he was now, otherwise, alert and at the ready — to wage battle with the power and knowledge of the Force — having been revived and reborn by this sudden brilliant flash of light, from whatever the source of it... may be.

Can You Hear The Music?
Say — have you ever stumbled upon musical lyrics, like, under a bridge, on a daily commute? You might suppose that this is an odd thing to ask someone. Even so, finding all sorts of graffiti under bridges is not exactly difficult, and some of this graffiti — if you stop and really look — clearly took some time and patience. So much so, perhaps, that I've seen photographers stop in their tracks and take photos just to document it.

The Legend of Don Conrado
It was in this manner that he started his excursion: he wandered, at first, but as the day progressed, he found more and more of a certain purpose to his stride. The reader may thus conjecture that perhaps the overall mood that Don Conrado harboured on this morning had begun to lift, in proportion to the level of exposure to the sun, and the subsequent production of calcitriol, which flowed steadily into several of his deprived bodily organs.

The Greatest of All Delusions
We may not know what they are, if they are in fact delusions, or premonitions, but either way, they come upon one rather suddenly, like a knight on a barded steed, during the wee hours… when all the lights are out, and the dark clouds roll in over the city (rather big, omniscient, and tormenting); and especially when the watchmen — way up in the their towers, and overlooking the citadel — have retired for the night and have thus left the stronghold unguarded, unmanned, and in grave peril...

A Failed State
In the quiet rainy street, on an early summer’s morning, Jack could see the door of the office where he had laboured, for the benefit of the collective, a few meters away. The door was held open by the hand of another worker; his palm pressed firmly against the glass as he kept it ajar. Today, the queue was several people long, which also happened to be the norm most days of the week; so, he slowed his pace down, as there was no need to rush with the line moving slowly. He took a few breaths of fresh air, for it had just been filtered by the morning heavy rain. Then he fixed the pack strap that was sliding off his shoulder and shuffled through the door. Above the heads of the workers in front of him, and under the flickering fluorescent lights, was the counter where they all signed in.

The Legend of Don Conrado Pt.3
As Don Conrado suspected, the premonition of Vador returned. And with matching fervor, he shook off all thoughts of insubordination for the greater cause and benefit of the Empire. With an air of undeniable conviction, he stepped forward (as one would from the dock of a spaceship), ready to instantly subdue — or even to sphagettify — a slick and cunning porch pirate (with but a single whip of his royal sash); had he want and desire to civilize such a foul creature; should one suddenly emerge from out the carriage of the Amazon, perhaps — not entirely unlike some disguised agent of the rebel fleet. For, I dare say, in this reality, these stooges in disguise were not only complicit but also in the habit, of pricing all earnest competition out of the galaxy; and as a consequence, they had earned their fair share of sworn enemies.

The Legend of Don Conrado Pt.2
Should the reader refuse to believe the history that will be revealed from this point onwards, let this hereto clarify and serve as a reminder; for, many a reader have shown such reluctance in acknowledging the great works of the past, only to accept and fully ascribe to the implications of these said works at a later point in time. In fact, many an institution, or even, a charlatan, have undertaken great labours in order to outright ban a selection of finest tommyrot from inflitrating the minds of the layman, in the hopes of maintaining a tether of control, or perhaps, even unhinged servitude. It is therefore, up to the current reader, to pay heed to what is written in this history, should it likewise undergo a similar fate. Though, I assure the reader that the contents of this history are not so exceedingly shocking, or deranged, that one should feel that they have finally stumbled upon a sacred sort of area; such as that, perhaps, of the inner circle of Area 51. Such a case, story or fantasy, would, in fact, serve on another occasion. However, in this particular chapter, I shall bring to light an account of the history immediately preceding the second abduction of our hero Don Conrado…

The Legend of Don Conrado
Don Conrado lifted his head from a double pillow, furrowed his brow, and listened intently to the bird sounds flowing through the open window near his bedside. But, he was not quite sure what species of bird, exactly, had woken him so abruptly on this particular early summer morning. And, having not yet lifted his eyelids, for fear of the light penetrating through and blinding him, he rolled over on his side, once again, and dozed off. He reckoned it must have been a lark, as they do occasionally sing from nearby trees this time of year, so he sank his head deep into the goose feathered pillows and muffled a sigh.

The Doctor's Orders
“Oh, man, you hear that, that venom whisper? Straight out of her filthy little mouth — I wouldn’t have any of it! But, you're not going to listen to that poison from your little sister, and take it — will you now? What say you, Ray?”
