Electric Dreams : Top Synthwave Artists
One thing this self-isolation period has done is given me more time to dedicate to the pursuit of finer listening. Or, to be truthful, it just gives me more time to listen to the same handful of songs I listen to for a couple months with more concentration before swapping out a majority of them for new music. Either way, it's been a great time creating all sorts of playlist for myself, and taking greater chances on different artists in genres I love. One in particular that I am always happy to gush about?

The Identity Musing. Top Story - June 2019.
In the month of June we celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. It's National Pride month, yay! In this month we celebrate the proud people who rioted for their freedom to be themselves, allowing us that freedom as well. Whether we know ourselves or not.

The Marvelous Carol Danvers: How the MCU Made Me Love Her
Captain Marvel is a fierce super heroine whose serialization started in 1967, so our girl has been around the sun a quite a few times. However, with the expansion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she has finally gotten her turn at a movie—and wow, what a movie it was!

'Lego Movie 2:' An Awesome Review
I'm going to preface this by admitting that I've only seen maybe ten minutes of the first Lego Movie and 30 minutes of Lego Batman. Still, I was able to pick up on things in the movie enough to really enjoy it so for someone who hasn't seen either of those movies, don't worry, you won't suffer for it if you see the sequel. So, about the Lego Movie 2?

Wherein I Gush About 'Titan A.E.'
First of all, let's just get this fact out of the way: Titan A.E. was a financial flop. It only made 36.8 million in the box office, which is just an appalling number when you compare it to what is considered a flop in Disney standards, Treasure Planet, which made 109.6 million.

Grinch-Off: Carrey vs Cumberbatch
There are three versions of the Grinch now. The first, the ultimate classic, was the animated Grinch in 1966. Then in 2000, Ron Howard shook it up with a much more fleshed out story of the Grinch, played by Jim Carrey. Our newcomer is a familiar name even if we botch it half the time, Benedict Cumberbatch, in the 2018 version of The Grinch, directed by Yarrow Cheney. I had the opportunity to see it this week, and wanted to have a little ramble where I ponder over who played a better grouchy Grinch.

Why Am I Suddenly Obsessed with Bring Me the Horizon
What even is this. This band came out in 2004, and it's currently the bitter end of 2018. In all those years before they never popped up on my radar, and now every personal mix on YouTube includes at least three of their songs. Though that probably has to do with the number of times I've replayed the entire Semipiternal album. I can't really answer my own question sadly enough, but what I do know is that I'm really happy they did pop up on my suggested videos because their songs are a mood.

Beyond the Mainstream: YouTube. Top Story - November 2018.
I get pretty tired of the radio. Not the content so much as the format of it. They take a good song and proceed to viciously stomp its every beat and tempo switch into your brain to entice you to keep returning to that specific radio program—which, yeah from a business standpoint, I understand but as a music lover, it just kind of makes me tired. So most days I actually connect to my phone Bluetooth and cruise some channels on YouTube that I stumble upon at home when I've got the proper amount of time to coast the search results for whatever music style I'm digging at the moment. I've come across some real gems on YouTube, and I always suggest these channels to my friends when they admit to wanting to find some new music different from the overplayed "Top 40 hits."

Have Yourself a Non-Capitalist Christmas
Christmas is a worldwide holiday, known as a time of cheer and family. I haven't really seen it as that in a long time though? I do see, however, tons of adds from big stores lauding great deals for toys and decorations to be the bigger, better Christmas celebration from the time the clock hits 12:00 a.m. on November 1st. That's all it is, for two months up until the actual celebration. Get more light-up deer, get a huge tree, get tons of presents, BUY TONS OF THINGS.
