Game Day Snacks

You never had a game day until you’ve had it with me. I like to add all my favorite snacks to the menu. I have been able to travel and live in many different places so I take with me a culture from the places I’ve lived. I grew up in New Orleans, LA, one of the best places to visit. New Orleans is full of traditions and culture. We have some of the best food in the World. One of my Favorite foods is Shrimp Poboy. A Poboy is a large sandwich that was first made to feed families who were on strike from the New Orleans Street Cars not running. Many families lost money from not working, so the Martin Brothers from the French Market Restaurant in 1929 decided to feed the unemployed workers on Strick because they too were out of work. The Poboy was made to be a long and big sandwich so that when divided into pieces everyone would still get a big portion to eat. My Favorite is the Shrimp Poboy which consists of French Bread, Fried Shrimp, Lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, seasoning and mustard for me. You can add hot sauce or whatever you want after that. I like my poboy Packed with Overflowing Fried Shrimp. A Shrimp poboy sandwich is so big you have to hold it with two hands. Once you bite into it, it feels like heaven. One of the best Sandwiches you will ever taste in your life. The next thing on the menu would be Southern Style Nachos. I used to live in Houston Texas and that is where I learned to make Southern Style Nachos. This style of Nachos is made with Velveeta Cheese or any type of melted cheese that will be creamy and melty. I like to add either Turkey Ground meat cause I don’t eat much beef or Beyond meat for Vegan Lovers and Rotel Tomatoes. No meal like this is complete without Onions, Green Peppers, Garlic and Tony Chachere Seasoning. I use Tony Chachere seasoning on all my food. It is one of the best seasonings in New Orleans with a Cajun Seasoning taste. You know I have to add My New Orleans Traditions to the taste. My Nachos I like to add Tortilla Chips to it or some people like to eat it with Doritos. What Chips you eat it with is all up to you. Southern nachos is one of the best nachos I’ve ever had. It’s like Queso and chips in a Mexican Restaurant but better Bec of the meat. You will love it.
