How Does The YouTube Algorithm Work, And What Should You Do to Rank Higher?
What is the YouTube Algorithm?
The algorithm is basically a set of rules that determines which videos are shown first when someone searches for a certain topic or tags. It’s the same system that’s used on all other platforms, but since there are so many different types of video content on YouTube, the algorithms have to get much more specific to ensure viewers find what they are looking for and continue coming back for more. The YouTube Algorithm is what we use to rank videos, and decide which ones to show on the homepage, in the sidebar, and in the search results. The algorithm takes into account a number of different factors to determine which content will rank best, including things like the number of views, likes, shares, and comments a particular video has received. YouTube’s goal is to show you content that you want to watch, and the algorithm is how it does that. The higher your video ranks, the more likely it is that it will be seen by a large number of people.
