You know people are always so quick to think the worst. How many times do we walk on the other side of the street when we see someone walking towards us that we think looks a bit dodgy? Or maybe we hear an offer and repeat “Well if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is”?

A flight to pleasure
As the impact of the plane touching down reverberated through the cabin, Jodi breathed in deeply to keep herself composed. It had only been an hour-long flight, but it had been so frustrating waiting to get there. Whilst the plane taxied to the aerobridge, she could feel her excitement growing. She had waited for this trip for what seemed like forever, the fact that this day had finally arrived was so pleasing to her.

Why you shouldn't have to speak up more
I am an introvert, but that doesn’t mean I can’t speak, it means that I don’t draw my energy from constant engagement with people. I spent many years teaching myself to have more confidence so I could talk to people and I’m at the point where people don’t always believe me when I say I’m an introvert.

It's not worth losing sleep over!
I stress a lot. It’s part of the triple-whammy of having PTSD, depression, and anxiety. The three tend to cross over a fair bit and blur the lines of what most would consider rational behavior regularly.

You think playing a game in VR is challenging?
The other day my nephew was playing some games with his VR headset. He asked me if I wanted a turn and said I would. Naturally, I was hopeless, and he commenced ridiculing me. To defend my reputation I launched into the tried and true “Well when I was your age, we didn’t have fancy games like that!”

I am great at dealing with death if I don't know the deceased
Recently I have written a few articles about the passing of my father. It was unexpected and a shock, but it has also knocked me around more than I had anticipated. I think those around me were also a bit surprised with how hard I’ve taken it. Partially because I’m good at masking my feelings, but also because I was a police officer for many years and dealt with death and tragedy daily.

Look, I am a fan of Ryder and the gang, but there are things that don’t add up. I have questions about the way the Patrol is structured, and financed, and probably even bigger questions about Adventure Bay, its local government services, and potential corrupt arrangements with the neighboring municipality of Foggy Bottom.
