The Skywalker Lineage Displayed In This Beautiful Fan Art
With the release of Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker over a year ago, the franchise has seen the Skywalker saga come to a close. (For now, at least. I mean, come on. You think they'll keep that book shut forever?) Fan opinions vary on whether or not the film lived up as a conclusion to the Skywalker saga and whether it felt like it united the movies. Some people went in having expectations pertaining to Force ghosts, and the end result was not exactly like what some were hoping. Some people were hoping to see Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker return as a visible ghost rather than just as a voice.

How To Watch Every 'Star Wars' Movie And Show In Chronological Order
With the large amount of Star Wars content currently available, and much more close on the horizon, it can be difficult to keep straight when and where everything happens in a galaxy far, far away. Before diving into such projects as The Bad Batch, The Acolyte, and The High Republic books and comics, a quick refresher on the current Star Wars timeline is certainly in order. Here is a compiled chronological list of all canonical Star Wars movies and TV shows, including information about the year it was released and where it falls in the timeline relative to A New Hope; events are noted to be Before the Battle of Yavin (BBY) or After the Battle of Yavin (ABY).

Luke Skywalker's Cameo Was Not Originally Planned, Says Jon Favreau
One of the biggest surprises in The Mandalorian series was Luke Skywalker. In the second season, it was discovered that Grogu, also known as “Baby Yoda” before his name reveal, needed a Jedi master to train him and find his latent abilities with the Force. Immediately, fans took the internet by storm with all their theories of which Jedi were left to be able to train Grogu. Of course, Ahsoka was off the table since she already said she couldn’t. The theories included many Jedi, including the one it turned out to be, which in itself seemed somewhat doubtful: Luke Skywalker.

Katee Sackhoff Didn't Know That Luke Skywalker Was In 'The Mandalorian' Until It Aired
When Din Djarin put Grogu on the seeing stone in the ancient temple on Tython and The Child started his Force Zoom call, we all knew that we would eventually get to see the person on the receiving end of this communication. But what we didn’t know at this time was whom it would be. Some hoped for a live-action debut of Ezra Bridger. (We will probably have to wait for this a little longer.). Others thought that it would be Cal Kestis from the Jedi: Fallen Order video game. Some even imagined that Mace Windu would show up, having miraculously survived his fall from Palpatine’s office.

Mark Raats Speaks Out On 'The Rise Of Skywalker' And Fan Backlash
Posters, especially movie posters, are a big part of Star Wars culture. Artists like Ralph McQuarrie, Tom Jung, Tom Chantrell, Roger Kastel, and Drew Struzan have created pieces of art that are recognizable by people well outside the fandom, even if they don’t know the artists' names.

'Star Wars' Just Revealed These Amazing Retro Action Figures
Star Wars, when it is at its best, is all about celebration. The magical feel of a celebration can be reflected not just within the respectful ambassadors of the fandom, but also within some of the products that come out of the franchise. There can be many different reasons to celebrate. It can be as mundane as simply celebrating how awesome in general Star Wars is. Or it could be a celebration of an upcoming project, like a film or a TV show. Or it could be a celebration of something that happened a long time ago, in a galaxy not so far, far away.

'LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga' Will Have More Playable Characters Than We Thought
Star Wars has maintained a strong presence in the gaming community since the 8-bit days. Atari and Intellivision carried the first licensed Star Wars video game with the adaptation of the Battle of Hoth. Released in 1982, this game required the player to pilot a snowspeeder against advancing walkers and blast each Imperial vehicle a grueling 48 times. That armor really is too strong for blasters! From multiple flight sim games (X-Wing and the newly released Squadrons), to shoot 'em up action (the award winning Battlefront series and Republic Commando), and of course lightsaber duels (Jedi Power Battles is criminally underrated), Star Wars video games span the galaxy of genres and gameplay. Lego, with help from developer Traveller's Tales, has excelled in combining all of these gameplay aspects, the best components of Star Wars, and seamlessly blending them together. Building the whole thing with LEGO bricks and plenty of humor, resulting in an extremely enjoyable and re-playable game fitting for fun-loving fans of all ages. The current Lego Star Wars titles separately span all eras of Star Wars, from the Battle of Naboo to the sequel trilogy. However, the newest game, hopefully releasing in spring of 2021, will combine all nine episodes of the Skywalker saga for an unprecedented Lego Star Wars experience.

More Secrets Revealed From Exegol Coming From Marvel's April 2021 'Star Wars: Darth Vader' Comic
The ninth Star Wars saga film, 2019's The Rise of Skywalker, was... flawed. Between undoing some of what had happened in The Last Jedi and an unfocused storyline, one could argue that it is easily the weakest of the three sequel films. However, that doesn't mean that there wasn't anything good in it. The return of Emperor Palpatine was a lot of fun, and it was especially cool to see his new home, the Sith world of Exegol. It was a bit silly to see a gigantic fleet of Star Destroyers, all of which were armed with a cannon that could destroy an entire planet, but at the end of the day, the planet gave us the opportunity to see some good ol' Star Wars fun.
