Horizontal Hourglass. Content Warning.
The doctors told me I was technically dead for a minute, meaning I had no heartbeat. My brain was definitely working though, because how else could my life flash before my eyes? It could be a chemical reaction, the brain's last song before the curtains close. All that I know is that minute felt like hours as I drifted through memories.

'Fallout' 2024 S01E01 and S01E02: More Than Okey Dokey (SPOILERS)
I had my reservations about Fallout being adapted to the silver screen...or should I say silver stream? For one, Bethesda wasn't even delivering on the video games. Bethesda became even more of a laughing stock after Fallout 76's launch and they didn't help themselves by trying to resell The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to every console, OS, and Samsung fridge. So, I was deeply skeptical about a Fallout TV show.

Heavy Hearts (p2). Content Warning.
catch up: p1 Kyla stretched as she woke up to a ticklish sensation along her neck. Seeing a flash of messy dark hair, she deduced it was Owen's lips. His stubble prickled along her skin, reminding her how titillating it felt in other places. His hands were greedy in their tentative exploration of her body.

Kiss Me When the Skies Turn Orange. Top Story - April 2024.
A/N: Thank you so much for the Top Story pick and all your lovely comments! I take a seat next to Martha on our patio, handing her an empty wineglass. I pour the most expensive Bordeaux we have into hers and mine. We're both in our best dresses. She has on a sparkling violet ball gown, the chiffon creating a poufy mess around her legs. I'm wearing my best gold wrap-around dress. We don't bother with shoes. What's a skeleton going to do with shoes?

Heavy Hearts (p1)
Kyla Wagner sipped at her drink at the bar as her friends talked around her. She was uncomfortable on the bar stool which was designed for thinner people with smaller buttocks. The sleeveless top her friend, Amira, had convinced her to wear was making her self-conscious, knowing that her big arms and underarm fat was on display. She swept her long brunette hair over her shoulders, wanting to disappear entirely.
