Lost in thought
The young woman sat at the table unfolding her napkin to place in her lap. As she looked down Heather noticed a wrinkle in her white dress. Quickly she stood up trying her best to remove it. For several seconds she fumbled with the material until a hand rested on her shoulder.

Unexpected Delivery
The Mailbox door slammed shut as Evan locked it and headed to the elevator. He stepped inside as he thumbed thru the junk mail. The elevator reached the fifth floor, opened up the doors, and let out a large ding as Evan stepped out into his hallway. The grunting on his left was from an older delivery man struggling with a medium sized brown paper wrapped box.

Dead Of Night
Dustin ran, stumbling into the open door of the old barn. He hit the straw covered ground, after hitting the doorframe, with a resounding thud. The desperate man scrambled to his feet as straw and dirt clung to the partial dried blood covering his clothing. Dustin closed the door, blocking it with a pitchfork, as he backed up.

Allen sat by the window staring out through grimy glass to a scorched sky as lighting crackled through the atmosphere. He sighed deeply as he laid his head back and closed his eyes. Reoccurring images played through his exhausted mind. They always played the same, one horrible event after another.
