"Beyond the Gates" Week 24 Review
This week's Beyond the Gates recap is brought to you by the letters O, M, F, and G. So there's quite a bit to unpack from this past week of this amazing, iconic soap. We received an awesome (and emotional) surprise appearance, but that would be followed by some explosive reveals--one we saw coming, the other we're still processing. Because of this, this will not be a day-by-day weekly recap; well, not completely. It'll be a reaction to the top moments that took place during the week between August 11-15.

A Deep Dive Into the Evolution of the NFL's Regional Coverage
For those who read my stories, you saw that I've been breaking down the 2025 NFL schedule in bits and pieces, saving Monday Night Football for last--fitting because it ends the week. While I will discuss this year's Monday Night Football schedule, I feel that I have to talk about the core of every week's schedule. You know what I'm talking about. Playing off the immortal words of Scott Hanson, "Seven hours of nonstop football!"

A Look at the Entire "Final Destination" Series (So Far)
You know, I actually remember the buzz surrounding the first film back in 2000, having no idea that it would become such a phenomenon. It wasn't until the fourth film was close to coming out that I watched the first three on a mini-binge, checking out each movie at my local library and watching them before I went to the theater to watch the fourth film. But I'm getting a little bit ahead of myself. Here's how the film series started.

No, You Dallas Cowboys, No! (2025 NFC East Preview)
The National Football Conference's Eastern Division has been quite the spectacle ever since the division was formed as part of the 1970 merger. During my childhood, the NFC East was the league's "Group of Death," back when the St. Louis/Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals were part of the division. It's still amazing even now, with the division standing as the only one out of the eight divisions where every team has won at least one Super Bowl. Well, I should say at least two.

"Beyond the Gates" Week 23 Review
Beyond the Gates is fully into the month of August, and even though summer is slowly coming to an end, it's getting hotter and hotter on this show. The week that passed was the 23rd in the soap's existence, and as a sports fan, I can tell ya, the number 23, well, that's a big deal. Seriously, this soap has really helped me out as I wait out the final few weeks until the NFL's regular season starts.

Looney Tunes Review: "Box Office Bunny"
I do love Looney Tunes so much. I forget how old I was when I first saw Bugs Bunny and crew. I always say to myself that I was five, but some memories have me watching The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show as early as the age of three. BB&T was a variation of The Bugs Bunny Show that aired during my childhood in the 1990s, and mostly on ABC's Saturday morning lineup--always at 10AM like clockwork. So many classic shorts appeared during that hour long block, and even some shorts that were actually released early in my lifetime. One such short I definitely remember seeing on BB&T is the subject of this review: Box Office Bunny.

The Beginning of the End? (2025 AFC West Preview)
The AFC West. Wow! As a Southern Californian, I'm elated that I get to see this division unleashed literally every week. Well, this and the other West Division. The AFC West has alway been interesting, and last year, it was quite beastly. Three of the AFC West's four teams remained in the thick of things all year. Three of them also made the playoffs; an absolutely amazing feat.

CFL Week 9 Recap: On the Prowl
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats need to be taken seriously. The team has been snakebit for many years. The Tiger-Cats are the only team in the league who has not won the Grey Cup in the 21st century. Their last championship came in 1999. Since I started watching the Canadian Football League in 2013, the TiCats have been to the big game quite a bit, but they always came up short. Their closest chance was 2021, with that game going to overtime, but they were defeated by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The TiCats started this season at 0-2, and it looked like it would be another iffy season for the squad, until they went on a winning streak.

The Right to Kick Off Wild Card Weekend (2025 AFC South Preview)
For a long time, I've had a lot of mixed feeling about the AFC South. Part of me wants to say that the division is, well... boring. If I do so, well, I would be completely unfair. The AFC South has had its amazing moments in the past few years. I still remember a Colts/Titans season finale with a playoff spot on the line. There's also the Jaguars shockingly ending the Colts' 2021 season in the final week, and of course, the Jaguars winning the division in the final week of the 2022 season. And there's the Texans going from narrowly losing out on the #1 pick one year, to defeating Indy for a playoff spot the next (that became a division title a day later).

Villainess Review: Dawn St. Claire (B.L. Stryker). Top Story - August 2025.
The heartbreaking hits keep on coming this year. On Sunday, August 3, 2025, we lost an iconic name in TV and in cinema, as Loni Anderson passed away at the age of 79. Anderson did so much in TV and film, with her greatest claim to fame being the hit sitcom, WKRP in Cincinnati, where she shined as bombshell Jennifer Marlowe--a role she briefly reprised years later in The New WKRP in Cincinnati. Anderson appeared on several different TV series such as Police Woman, Barnaby Jones, Three's Company, Sabrina the Teenage Witch (as one of Sabrina's country witch cousins), and V.I.P. (as the mother of Pamela Anderson's central character).

"Beyond the Gates" Week 22 Review
Beyond the Gates continues to shine as part of CBS' daytime lineup, without question. In the East Coast, the show airs at 2PM, but here in the West Coast, it's a 1PM airing, but regardless, the rookie soap has gained so much press, acclaim, and excellent attention. The show has been on for just over five months, and as I've said many, many times, this was the soap we need. It's a breath of fresh air compared to all of the other soaps--past and present.
