NFL Week 9 Recap: They Can't Keep Getting Away With This!
The Kansas City Chiefs are still undefeated. They sure as hell shouldn't be. Week 9 ended with the Chiefs at home against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team who still has both of their top wide receivers out, and it has showed. Despite this, the Bucs hung on and had two different leads: 7-3 and 17-10, the latter lead coming in the fourth quarter. The game saw DeAndre Hopkins really show out: 8 receptions for 86 yards and two touchdowns, with the second one giving the Chiefs a fourth quarter lead. Bucs had one more chance to tie it up, and with under 30 seconds left, they did just that. 24-24, and KC being forced to punt ended up forcing overtime. KC won the toss, took the ball, and that was it. Touchdown drive won it for the Chiefs.

The Bright Side
Despite a 0-4 start to the season, the Colorado Avalanche ended up with a borderline respectable record once October ended: 5-6-0. Not bad at all, considering that a lot of our players were out. This is why the respect is there. We've been playing with newbies and punk kids for the near most part, yet we're only a solid game under .500 after the first month of the season. That's pretty good.

State of the Green Bay Packers Address
From the moment the regular season's schedule was released, one of the number of games I had circled on my mental calendar was the first outing between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions. November 3. Late window. Game of the week territory. I entered this season figuring that the NFC North would be between the Packers and Lions. Literally no one had the Minnesota Vikings starting 5-0. Though many figured that they'd lose back-to-back and fall to third place because, well, that's what the Vikings do.

Shenanigans
On the same day that Game Five of the World Series took place, the Colorado Avalanche were in action. The Avs were coming off the end of our five game winning streak, and entering Game 11, we received some very damning news: Ross Colton would be out for 6-8 weeks. The man who had been making heads turn with his many goals already is now out for several weeks. This already adds to the who's who on the injured list, and of course, Val Nichushkin's suspension. We really are the San Francisco 49ers of the NHL, are we?

Method
Delia Patrick had been working in entertainment for five years as an interviewer and reporter, patiently waiting for her big break. Finally, she received it in the form of an opportunity to interview one of the most known stage actresses in the public eye: Belinda Adams. Delia was given a briefing on Belinda by her boss, Winona Wales, but she didn't need one. Delia had known all about Belinda's career; she is internationally known, having performed in stages in cities such as Los Angeles, New York City, London, and Paris. However, that was not what Winona meant.

World Series Game Three: A New York Minute
November 4, 2009. Do you know what I was doing on that very day? I was watching Game Six of that year's World Series between the New York Yankees and the then-defending champion Philadelphia Phillies. I remember everything about that night. Hideki Matsui's six RBIs, Andy Pettitte's pitching gem, and the 27th out that got us #27. It was such an amazing moment to see the Yankees win the whole thing that night, and it was an amazing way to introduce the new Yankee Stadium that year.

NFL Week 8 Recap: Hail Mary to the Commanders
Soooo... let's talk about that Hail Mary, eh?! You know, the Washington Commanders are something special this year. On paper, they were supposed to be in the midst of a rebuild. The NFC East was supposed to be the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles battling for the top spot, while the Commanders would be rebuilding and the New York Giants would be glad that they're not the New York Jets. Yet a funny thing happened after they lost their season opener. They won four straight. They were beaten by the Ravens, but they bounced back big time against the lowly Panthers. Even so, it looked Jayden Daniels would be out for this week, but he suited up for this week's battle against the Chicago Bears.

Climbing the Ladder
What did I say when we were 0-4? I said not to worry. I said this was a long season. Look what's happened. Four straight wins. The goals are coming in from all sorts of players, and Justus Annunen has been on a roll in net. The Avs' last win was in Utah; a dominant 5-1 victory that saw, among other things, Ivan Ivan's first NHL goal. And after two days off, the Avs are back at home to face off against the Ottawa Senators, and as we recall, the last time the Senators hit Ball Arena, it was one of Nathan MacKinnon's two four-goal games of the season.

Gender-Flipped Villain Pitch: The Hooded Claw (The Perils of Penelope Pitstop)
I had been sitting on something like this for over a year now. I had thought about writing a story about gender-flipping villains, because let's face facts: there are some iconic villains who do need a woman's touch. I still, to this day, remember when the first season of Elementary gave us Natalie Dormer as a female Moriarty, so very delicious. The inspiration for this came from an episode of Ultimate Spider-Man, which saw the titular hero in a gender-flipped universe, which not only featured Spider-Girl, but also Norma Osborn, a gender-flipped version of The Green Goblin. The Goblin wasn't the only Spider-Man villain to be gender-flipped, we would later see a female Dr. Octopus, who was voiced by Kathryn Hahn, who is currently heeling it up in the MCU as villainess Agatha Harkness.

Top Scoring Players on Fantasy Football (Week 7)
We are currently in the heart of Week 8, but let's take a look back at Week 7. Week 7 was quite interesting in Fantasy Football, especially for me. Two of my teams who appeared to be down and out are improving, one of them went from 0-4 to 3-4 and in a playoff position. As I stated before, anything can happen in the world of Fantasy Football, as we continue on into the heart of the Fantasy season. I am impatiently waiting for that moment where one or two of my teams clinches a playoff spot--I do have two teams who are 6-1 right now.

World Series Game Two: Disorder in the Court
An immense number of Yankees fans were left in anger, despair, and panic after the walk-off grand slam was hit by Freddie Freeman. Not this Yankees fan. It's only one game in a best-of-seven. In 2009, the Yankees lost Game One of that year's World Series. What happened? We won four of the next five games. It's not the end of the world, Yankees fans. Game Two is a perfect opportunity to even this thing up heading back to The Bronx.

World Series Game One: And So It Begins
Here it is, folks: the World Series. The Fall Classic. It's always special every year, but this year's it's extra special. This year, it's the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Two of the most hallowed teams in baseball, and the two biggest payrolls in the league right now. Now, before I start this recap, I want to call out something.
