THREE LITTLE WORDS
"Leave it!" The second man said to the third as they scurried for the exit and squeezed into the back of the 76 Chevy like a circus clown. The third man climbed into the passenger seat, the driver floored the accelerator, and it roared to life, scorching the asphalt in its wake. It fishtailed into the intersection nearly sideswiping an oncoming car, and shot forward like a bat out of the underworld.

All In A Dame's Work
She is lithe, but don't let those long legs fool you pal. I've seen them wrap around bigger than you and not let go. I was on the hunt for a phoenix, indestructible, rising from the ashes before the flames died out. Eight identities in three states, and she was starting to make Houdini look like an amateur. The last name I had to go on was Owens. Dorothy Owens and she's a blonde now.

Bond, James Bond.
Like wine, James bond's themes age better with time. Everyone has their Bond. For some it will always be Connery, and other will swear by Moore. There are few Misteps. From the guitar riff of Dr. No to the dreamlike melody of No time to die, Bond themes are iconic. With each new Bond flick, the producers will recruit top-tier talent to give Bond a musical edge. I discovered Bond in the Brosnan era when one-liners and narrow escapes were still the thing. When Bond was a superspy and Meglomania was still in demand.

Pandora’s Drop
It was nondescript. It could’ve come from Raphael or Saint Michael, but we never would’ve known who the sender was. Its robotic courier had disappeared into the overcast. There were no trailing footsteps. Just a little taupe box that sat over the welcome mat, muting out the word c-o-m-e.

The Undiscovered Letter
Dear You I wrote you a letter, but you never read it. I kept it. Tucked away inside the safety of my drawer. The envelope was sealed with a quiet and finality that silenced everything around me besides the echo of your voice in my head.

The Right Sheet of Music
Life without music would be a tragedy, writes Nietzsche, unless it's the Phantom of the Opera, and then in tragedy, you burst into a song. I'm a creature of habit, and my favorite songs are like a well-oiled machine. I've probably worn out numerous records in my head, but those songs will always be in my top 40. I have eclectic tastes with music, but when I find a song I like, I don't try to fix what's not broken. I love it like a love song and keep hitting Repeat...peat...peat. Here's a list of the songs that had an impact, for one reason or another.
