Known for hits like "So What" and "Raise Your Glass," songs which have traditionally encouraged and even celebrated the fierceness of women everywhere, if not everyone's inner party animal, Pink may have once been the last person on Earth that people would have expected to become a role model for working moms. Sure, the rock star has enough money now that she could probably hire several different nannies to look after her two young children, Willow, who's 6, and Jameson, who is around 6 months old now, but it would seem she's still a very present parent in their lives.

The Case Of Omar Khadr—Brainwashed Child Soldier Or Teen Fulfilling Family Duty?
Most 15-year-olds are busy with sports, school, or on social media with friends. In 2002, then-15-year-old Omar Khadr, a Canadian boy and son of Ahmed Khadr, reportedly an associate of late Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden, allegedly threw a grenade while in Afghanistan that resulted in the death of American soldier Sergeant First Class Christopher Speer. The incident drew widespread international attention; Khadr, who had been shot, received medical attention from medics on scene and had reportedly asked to be killed at the time. He was not, and Khadr spent the next several years languishing in prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, without trial. He ultimately pleaded guilty to throwing the grenade that killed Speer, but later admitted that he did not recall the incident that killed the soldier or saw him injured. The confession, Khadr said, was made because he saw no other way of returning to Canada from Guantanamo Bay. Khadr pleaded guilty to "murder in violation of the laws of war, attempted murder in violation of the laws of war, conspiracy, two counts of providing material support for terrorism and spying."

Emma Stone A 'Mean Girl'?
Mean Girls was quite probably one of Lindsay Lohan's best works in her very brief filmography and continues to be well-loved today. With the likes of Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Tim Meadows as the beleaguered adults in the world of teens Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried, the chemistry between the cast was hard to deny. While there was a largely forgettable attempt to reconjure the magic of that group in 2011's television movie Mean Girls 2, there continues to be a clamoring for a real sequel to the original.

Why It Doesn't Matter How Carrie Fisher Died
Like every Star Wars fan I know, I was devastated when I learned that Carrie Fisher, the woman behind one of the most iconic science fiction heroines ever, died Dec. 27 at the age of 60. I was a fan of her acting, including her non-Star Wars roles (When Harry Met Sally still ranks among my favorites), and of her openly hilarious and often heartwarming manner in which she wrote. I remember thinking that what I'd read was simply not real, that she would somehow bounce back from the coma she was in and while it would undoubtedly take time for her to heal, she would be back.

Star Wars fans across the globe mourned when word of Carrie Fisher's death spread Dec. 27, 2016, and people wanted to know how the actress and writer, who seemed very much to be at the top of her game, ultimately died. Nearly six months later, the Los Angeles County Coroner has been able to shed some light on the sad news.

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau Looks to Apologize to Vets Ousted For Being Gay
Once upon a time, it was believed that those who identified as homosexual were security risks. In fact, it was also believed that those people who were homosexual were criminals - a belief that wasn't put to rest until 1992 in Canada, when homosexuality was decriminalized. The DSM - widely considered a "bible" of sorts for psychologists and psychotherapists regarding mental disorders and conditions - even listed homosexuality in one form or another until 1987. Now, Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau is hoping to extend an apology to Canadian military personnel who may have been affected by what CTV News has termed a "gay purge." The only problem is, there's no clear indication as to how many have been affected by it.

#Covfefe Proves Bitter For Trump
Ah, autocorrect - President Trump could use you on a regular basis. After Trump, an avid Twitter user, sent out a 12:06 am tweet that read “Despite the constant negative press covfefe," followed by a 6:09 am post that read "Who can figure out the true meaning of 'covfefe?' Enjoy!," Twitter has been having a field day trying to determine exactly what Trump was talking about, in addition to posting a host of memes and questions.
