Ever since I was a child, I have written short stories. I've always been in love with the written word and find a release in writing. I tend to let my characters lead the story and tell me what happened...it gets interesting.

My life before you was good. I had my freedom. I had my goals and ambitions and dreams. I didn’t have to answer to anyone for anything. My life before you was good. However, my life before you lacked something. I wanted a partner to share life with. I wanted someone I could confide in and talk to. I wanted to feel wanted. This is where you came along.

My First Celebrity Crush
When I was 15, I had had some minor celebrity crushes, but nothing major, as the heartthrobs were all in their 20’s at that point…think Jason Priestly, Luke Perry (RIP,) etc. In 1993, that all changed for me. Boy Meets World hit the airwaves and quickly because a raging success. The fact that it was all set in suburban Philadelphia made it all the more exciting to me, being that I am a true Philly girl, born, raised, and still live there. I couldn’t wait to see the next episode…for more reasons than one.

The Last Shift
I took a deep breath and tied my apron around my waist, preparing for my last shift at the Magnolia Diner. I looked around, embracing the quiet before the storm, committing every detail of the place to memory before heading out the door to the dining room floor. As I pushed the door open, the familiar scent of coffee, pie, and greasy diner food hit me full force and I smiled.
